i had a thought today: since the speedball area is "caged" do you think it would be a good idea for mersey to sell reballs for speedball use? They could pay kids or something like 3 cents per ball to go pick them up at the end of the day if they cant be bothered to do it themselves, hose them down, and leave them to dry for the next day? They can be used thousands of times, and mersey would still make money off selling them. They still go the same distance and are the same size though they weight slightly less, and you obviously know if you are hit or not so they can make it honorball.

let me know what u guys think

100000% no.

Mersey is an outdoor field, like most others and they would lose HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, amounts of money replacing all of the balls they lose. they would get lost every game, and are damn expensive to buy.

Also, you have to turn your velocity WAY down because they hurt like hell, i've experienced it.

what are reballs supposed to be used for then, i mean, all you could really do is shoot at one thing in your backyard thats really close to you so u can practice ur trigger finger and hope not to lose any????

indoor arenas and marker tuning.
another problem i see is trying to convince speedballers (although i know there's gotta be some honest players out there somewhere ;)) to play honour ball; wiping keeps too many players in games where the paint actually leaves a mark.

i dont think they would have much choice in speedball though, they would get hit 10 or 15 times before they even tried to wipe it, plus every1 could see, but i catch your drift. It would also be hard to convince paintballers to buy reballs instead of home paint i guess. Maybe this isnt a good idea for merrsey, but if a new indoor park was opened, i think it would be something to think about

Considering the fact that they would bounce off the bunkers anyways, the reballs would end up in the woods and neutral zone all day.

They're made for indoor fields and sitting in a hallway with a blanket hung at the other end to catch them.

yeah, i never thought of that. They wouldnt be worth buying unless you owned an indoor field then i guess

Did i miss something at walk on this Sunday? because last time i was at Mersey there was one wall of netting, and usually cage with one side doesn’t qualify as a "caged" arena.

reball is great if you have an indoor field. that way teams can practice at a fraction of the cost. Honestly if all you are doing is running drills. with reball you dont have to do "hopper ball practice" to extend your paint supply.

good idea, just not for mersey. (reball fields exist btw)
