To: Soldiers and Commanders
184th Battle Group
Now that my head hurts sufficiently after a review briefing with Gen. Tatsukao, i will say a few words to those soldiers of the Allied forces assigned under his command.
This is not a speech, for they are the domains of politicians and I detest politics. If i know General Tatsukao, he will place duty and honorr above the political needs his rank usually dictates. Many of you in this fine Battle Group have previously fought with the General on several occasions, to hardened victory and sometimes bitter defeat. You know him and he knows you. But, few of you have fought with me. Let it be known that even though i am a Chief Warrant Officer of the Canadian armed forces, i do not succumb to the mundane policies of the armed forces. I am not here to be a policy maker, to hold hands or listen to people cry.
I am here to lead Allied forces, in the name of our Commanding officer, to Victory.
I have little time for slackers; you will all pull your weight or i will throw you to the enemy myself. I will tolerate no politics and policy arguing on the field...We all have a duty to perform. We each have a task and role to play in the coming days. Everyone of us will find our respective destinies on that day and field. From the lowliest, green recruit to the highest skilled warrior we are all equally needed. Every soldier is as important as the one beside them; we are not cannon fodder...We are Soldiers! We are all that stands in the way of Axis tyranny. But how do we achieve this? Through one simple concept...
Obeying Orders!
General Tatsukao is in charge. The General has his orders from Allied Command and he will pass down the orders we need to know and obey, at the time for the 184th to know them and not before. From Soldier, to Medic, to Sergeant and Captain and even myself, we will only see victory if we obey what is told to us from above. That does not mean someone can't say "This is wrong". Have your opinion, but when the word is given that shall be final. There will be time to reflect upon our actions later.
Unlike some leaders i do not believe nor trust in Perfection. Flexibility is a must to survive any conflict. But i will stake my career on steadfast Dedication, as i trust the 184th will bring much dedication to the field along with discipline.
Orders will be relayed to the unit as the General deems them necessary, but as far as i understand an information lock down is in effect. If i know the General though, he will speak to his troops himself.

Regimental Sergeant Major

PS: To General Tatsukao, if you could speak to the MP's at the London JAG office. They are refusing to release my pace-stick on the grounds it is necessary evidence in a case against me. I would like to have it back in time for the operational day.
Duty before Rank;
Rank before Valour;
Valour Before Death;
Death before Defeat!
