ION on a Budget

So I'm picking up a ION, which I'm barely able to afford, and I'm wondering what would be some cheaper, and useful ups. I know im gonna get an EVo II. But what about hpa? What would be the cheapest way to go on that? (for now, im just gonna rent it from the feild)

How necessary is a new feedneck? Like, what are my priorities?

well, You could have gotten aused ion (which I have for sale for $160) for cheaper and had money left over for ups, and if I were you I would go with a used loader and tank as it will save you BIGTIME on dollars. If you want to buy an evoII my friend has one for sale like new for cheap. Your main priorities should be(in order) a loader, feedneck, tank if you can afford it but if not than keep renting. and just get whatever other ups you find fit your budget and type of gun you are going for

i did buy it used (ish) somewhere on the b/s/t board someone was selling a new one that he never used for 200. Ill likely get a used tank, but not sure about the hopper. how much do Q-locks go for? does banshee carry them?

get a new trigger frist. it makes the marker go from crap to a good marker then get a barrel then the feed neck then a new board. you might want to switch teh barrel for the trigger all depends on the person. i hate that trigger.

as for a hopper get a halo pules or a reloader.

a trigger wont be any good to him if he cant shoot.. so. im saying. MAYBE ether get a hopper or a n air tank first.. as annoying as the 0-ring feedneck IS (i feel ya pal) its still a feedneck and can still get the job done. so im thinking get an hpa tank. and borow a hopper from somone if you can. or rent it.

If your using an EggII, I would go with a feedneck first.

Save your money and pick up an HPA tank for yourself.

I'm sure you know but for those who don't, Never use CO2 on your Ion!

Ok, I think I'll go with the loader first. if i buy used I'll get a feedneck (what one? I'm thinkin Q-lock?) then save for tank. trigger, drop, ect will come later once I get a feel for the gun.

one more question. i read somewhere to only use "shocker grease", can i use SLEEK?

thanks for helpin me with selling the loader guys i really appreicate it and what i did was bought my ion then my tank then my loader then i started putting ups on it i dont got to many but so far its got a q-lock(free) thanks stephan, Evil pipe, Unimount, and a firebolt i also got a free t-board that needs some work but i dont advise u pay full $50+ for a qlock at banshee there are always good deals around just keep your eye out man.

So, heres, how I think im gonna do it, in order:
-Hopper, prolly an egg (unless I find a killer deal on a halo, or reloader =P)
- Tank, likely second hand (and if I dont have one, I'll just rent one (I'll be able to rent a tank for WWV right?))
- Q-lock, I'll try to find a way better deal.
- Maybe a QEV?

after you got it shooting. and feeding properly. with the feedneck.. get a qev. its a nice little upgrade. body kit isnt really nessessary in your situation.. but a better barrel might be nice.. i think around 40 you can get a 16inch SP progressive.

speaking of ion bodys... i need a stock body.. the grip, front grip, and shell. i will trade for my pink pody and 20$ its got a smart parts clear grip that coomes with it.. looks pimp. worth atleast 50$

What about the hopper? I'm looking around on hitman paintball, and Im probly gonna get the Egg II or the reloader 2. what would be better, the egg feeds faster, but the reloader seems to have a waaaay lowet profile
